Winnie

Winnie, a small mixed breed dog, was discovered abandoned by the roadside in rural Parrish, in a state of extreme emaciation and trauma that left her barely able to walk.

She was so fearful of human touch that she trembled when our volunteer took her to the Veterinary Medical Center of LWR. After receiving days of intravenous feeding and hydration, Winnie began to show signs of improvement.

Winnie was suffering from multiple bite wounds and lacerations covering her entire body. She remains frightened by dogs barking and loud noises but is slowly adjusting to life in her foster home. Once she has healed both physically and mentally, Winnie will be ready to find a loving and caring forever home.
